PISA - FIRENZE - PISA
8 Days, 397 km/ 246 mi.
This is a round trip tour from Pisa to Firenze, south to
Siena, and back to Pisa. This tour is designed around the Pisa
International Airport. You can fly into Pisa with your bike,
ride the tour, and fly out again. Each daily stage is short, so
you could combine stages and do the entire tour in less than a
week, or you can take your time and stretch it to 10 days.
The route will take you through the classic Tuscan landscape
of rolling wheat fields, columnar evergreens, olive groves and
vineyards. In addition to Pisa and Firenze you will also visit
the sun-lit Piazza del Campo in Siena, the famous towers of
San Gimignano, and the ancient walled city of Volterra.
Although there is some stiff climbing, there are no mountains
to scale and no long days in the saddle. This tour is about
scenery and culture combined with a few hours of spectacular
riding each day.
