ROMA/ FIUMICINO - ORVIETO - ROMA/ FIUMICINO
8 Days, 476 km/ 295 mi.
This is a tour of the “Lost Corner of Tuscany.” Few of
the destinations are likely to appear in most guide books.
Except in the vicinity of Orvieto you are unlikely to see a
single tour bus. This tour is about quiet country roads
through lovely landscape, spectacular fortified villages, and
ancient tombs which pre-date the Romans. It begins at
Rome’s international airport at Fiumicino and wanders into
the rolling hills of the Etruscan heartland for 8 days before
circling back to the airport. This tour will take you far off
the beaten path. In many places you are unlikely to find
English spoken. If taking the path less traveled appeals to
you, then this could be the tour for you.
